Airports and Backup Power

Airport.jpgAviation is one of the largest and most important industries in the world. A press release published by the Federal Aviation Administration states, 'According to the forecast, the total number of people flying commercially on U.S. airlines will increase by 0.2 percent to 732 million in 2012, then to 746 million in 2013, and then increase more rapidly to 1.2 billion in 2032. The aviation system is expected to reach one billion passengers per year in 2024.'

Given the sheer number of passengers in the world, that fly across the world each year, the continuous and effective operation of airports is essential. All of the world's airports are interconnected - with delayed flights from one airport affecting arrivals and departures at any number of other international locations - it's essential that power outages do not occur.

In order to keep the aviation industry functioning without disruption, backup power generators are not only required, but they are critical. The world relies on the aviation industry to function like clockwork 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Reliable cogeneration systems and diesel gensets are necessary at all airports and within all aviation-related facilities to ensure airports are able to function as normal if and when a power outage occurs.
