Supplying Backup Power to Data Centers

Generator De-Install

Supplying uninterrupted power to a data center 100% of the time is critical for operations. A data center is a facility that is used to house computer systems and can house components such as backup power controls, redundant data connections, communications, HVAC, and security controls.

Backup generators are used to insure the components have uninterrupted power. This article explores the function of backup generators at a data center, EPA regulations, and the role Diesel Service & Supply can play in regard to de-installing and decommissioning a backup generator when a data center desires to upgrade an existing system, as well as purchasing a generator from a facility that is upgrading its system.
